I looked for my first rabbit vibrator for a long time. Probably too long. Honestly, I felt overwhelmed because there are so many options. All I knew was that I wanted a body safe, rechargeable, waterproof rabbit vibe that didn’t cost a fortune. I didn’t care if it thrusted or had rotating beads, but I worried that I was still expecting too much. Well, until I found Lovehoney’s Happy Rabbits.

The only time another person bought me a sex toy was when I got my Happy Rabbit Realistic Rabbit Vibrator. Long story short: I have an Amazon Wish List linked to my Sex Forums profile, and I add to it only items that cost $20 or less because the idea of a kind stranger/admirer buying me a gift turns me on, but I feel uncomfortable about that gift being expensive. Well, this friend – a man more than twice my age – noticed my struggle to decide on a rabbit vibe. He was looking for a rabbit for his wife and took interest in my dilemma. Once I decided, he sent me a personal message offering to buy it for me to “show his gratitude” for my presence on the site and, I assume, for making public my quest to find the perfect rabbit for me. I naturally expressed uncertainty at first because although I think the price is reasonable, this toy costs more than my $20 limit. Lovehoney sells upgraded versions of their Happy Rabbits for $79.99. He assured me that he wasn’t concerned about the price. Even so, I found my Happy Rabbit on Amazon for a lower price¹, and we agreed. I felt flattered and excited. I hoped to write a positive review to show my friend that I appreciated his gift. I won my Happy Rabbit G-Spot Rabbit Vibrator in Lady Cheeky’s huge Valentine’s Day giveaway last year.

At the time, Lovehoney offered three Happy Rabbits: the G-Spot, which has a bulbous, rounded tip; the Natural, which is softly tapered at the tip but still has a curved shaft; and the Realistic, which has the most phallic shape of the three. I chose the Realistic because I liked its shape the best, and the shape is the only difference between my two Happy Rabbits. The G-Spot definitely tugs at my pubic bone more than the Realistic does.

20150313_135143 20150313_134811 20150313_134409

The upgraded versions of the G-Spot and the Natural boast 150% more power and 15 vibration options. The upgraded rabbit arm has a slightly different shape.

20150313_134055

Plus, they’re now USB rechargeable. They’re still silicone and waterproof, but they have only two motors, which doesn’t seem like an upgrade. For Fifty Shades of Grey fans, Lovehoney offers the Happy Rabbit G-Spot Rabbit Vibrator’s shape combined with the branding of their Fifty Shades of Grey: The Official Pleasure Collection line of toys in the Fifty Shades of Grey Greedy Girl G-Spot Rabbit Vibrator.

The packaging is tasteful but not discreet. There is a huge picture of the vibrator on the outer sleeve. Under the sleeve is a sturdy box, which contains the vibrator, charger, storage pouch, and instruction booklet on top of a plastic tray.

Because the toy comes with a storage pouch, I don’t use the box for storage. It’s too bulky.

My Happy Rabbit Realistic Rabbit Vibrator was the perfect choice for me. I think it’s absolutely worth the full retail price. Even my original version is rechargeable. The indicator light changes color from red to orange to yellow to green while the toy charges. It’s fully charged when the light is green.

It’s not just waterproof; it’s submersible waterproof².

20150313_135621 20150313_140330

This rabbit is silicone and ABS plastic, but I can’t boil it to sanitize it because it has three motors³. Instead, I clean it using soap and water, toy cleaner, wet wipes, or a 10% bleach solution. However, I let it air dry because drying it with a towel leaves fuzz behind. It comes with a storage pouch and has three constant vibration speeds, including in the rabbit arm, and two patterns of vibration in the shaft only for a total of five options. The patterns in the shaft are interesting because the shaft contains two motors. The second pattern is a pulsating that alternates between the two motors. The vibrations are powerful enough to make water-based lube bead on the shaft, and they’re definitely on the rumbly side. I love the feeling of the first pattern thrumming inside me. Two buttons make for easy operation, even for a beginner. The base is a great place to hold the toy during use, and the buttons are easily accessible. The long button controls the shaft while the small, round button controls the rabbit arm.

20150313_140734

Just press the button to turn the motor(s) on, press it to cycle through the vibration options, and hold it down to turn the motor(s) off. The toy starts on whatever settings it was on when it was last turned off. These vibrators are really quiet. Lovehoney’s Happy Rabbits aren’t as travel friendly as they could be because they don’t have a travel lock. It has 5″ of insertable length – I only use about 3.5″ – and 5″ of girth at its widest point, and I love its size.

20150909_132410 20150909_131927 20150909_132747

It’s filling without being difficult to insert, so I don’t need to warm up before I use it, and the rounded head isn’t uncomfortable against my cervix while the rabbit ears are super flexible.

20150313_140927

Luckily, this particular rabbit vibe is perfect for my anatomy. The rabbit ears are the right distance from the shaft to touch my clitoris in an exact way when the shaft is in my vagina. I usually reach orgasm using a pattern internally with one rabbit ear on each side of my clit. I like to either rock the toy up and down inside me or back and forth so that the rabbit ears brush against my clit from side to side or use a very shallow thrusting motion.

Rabbit vibrator tip:

While choosing a rabbit vibrator, I learned that it’s a pretty subjective and personal choice. I chose this rabbit vibe over other options because it offers the best combination of features for me. There are a ton of options, and I highly recommend taking the time to carefully consider the features of each potential purchase. Make a wise decision based on which option has the most desired features to offer. I love that this one is rechargeable because I intended to use it a lot. The three motors impressed me, and the vibrations are powerful enough for me to reach satisfying orgasms. I love the shape with its phallic head. I understood the appeal of cock-shaped toys after buying my first realistic dildo. The size is perfect for me. If I had to choose, I prefer girth over length because I want to feel full and a bit stretched but not poked, and I don’t like cervical stimulation. I wanted a body-safe toy, and all of the Happy Rabbit vibrators are body-safe silicone. I didn’t want a glass rabbit for my first rabbit vibrator experience because glass is hard and unforgiving. Silicone has squish and flexibility. It’s waterproof (read: easy to clean), comes with a storage pouch, and fits my anatomy at a reasonable price. Pinch me!

However, my experience isn’t universal. I can’t guarantee that someone else would love this particular rabbit vibrator as much as I do. Things to consider before buying a rabbit vibrator include:

  • How it works – Is it rechargeable or battery-powered? If it’s not rechargeable, what kind of batteries does it run on? I hate watch batteries. For toys that see regular use, I’d recommend something rechargeable. Is it easy to use? How many buttons does it have?
  • Power – Consider buzzy vs. rumbly vibrations. Is there more than one speed setting? Does the toy offer vibration patterns? Some people need constant vibration while others prefer the variety that patterns provide. On the other hand, are there so many options that they’re overwhelming?
  • Size, shape, and texture – These features are extremely subjective and based on a person’s preferences when it comes to length and girth as well as whether or not they enjoy the sensation of texture and how much. Know what to look for. I know that I like a shorter or an average length between 4″ and 7″ with a diameter between 1.5″ and 2″ to give me the full, slightly stretched feeling I crave. I love cock-shaped toys and toys with a prominent head that pops when I thrust while some people prefer toys that don’t have a realistic shape. Texture I can take or leave. If a toy I buy has texture, I like some texture but not a lot. Just enough to make the sensations interesting.
  • Anatomy – The biggest complaint about rabbit vibrators is that they don’t fit everyone’s anatomy. If the distance between the shaft and the rabbit arm puts them too close together or leaves too much space between them, then hitting the right spots is difficult. Is the rabbit arm long enough with the shaft inserted? Does any part of the toy jab, stab, or poke?
  • Material – Body-safe materials are a requirement. I don’t compromise on this point, and I don’t think anyone else should either. However, there are other considerations when it comes to material. Is the toy soft or hard? How customizable is it? Is it nonporous? Color seems superficial, but it’s an important consideration for some people. Color wasn’t one of my primary considerations, but purple is my favorite color.
  • Care and cleaning – Is it splashproof, waterproof, or submersible? Some toys aren’t even splashproof. How much effort will cleaning require? Can I sanitize it and/or share it with a partner? A vibrator has a motor and therefore isn’t dishwasher safe and won’t survive boiling.
  • Price – This point is self-explanatory, but most people are on a budget, so it’s important to consider how much a toy costs. Where’s the value for money? Try to get as many desirable features as possible for the lowest price. I definitely recommend comparison shopping.
  • Additional features – Does it come with a storage pouch? Does it have a travel lock? These features aren’t necessary for the toy to function properly or for me to enjoy it, but they’re nice to have.

Pros:

  • The Happy Rabbit Realistic Rabbit Vibrator has the most phallic shape of the three Happy Rabbits, which I like, but there are two other Happy Rabbits that offer different shapes.
  • This vibrator is silicone with an ABS plastic base. Both of those materials are body safe.
  • This toy comes with a storage pouch.
  • I’d definitely recommend this rabbit vibe for beginners. It’s a good size for most people. The three motors are powerful, and this toy offers both constant vibration and patterns. It’s easy to operate with just two buttons.
  • I have independent control over the shaft and rabbit arm.
  • The rabbit arm has three vibration speeds.
  • This particular rabbit fits my anatomy perfectly.
  • It’s rechargeable.
  • It’s submersible.
  • It’s quiet.
  • It’s affordable without being cheap.

Cons:

  • Enjoyment of rabbit vibrators is subjective, and no rabbit will fit everyone’s anatomy.
  • I recommend using only water-based lubricants with this toy.
  • Lovehoney’s Happy Rabbits don’t have a travel lock.

Rating:  9.5/10

¹Although I recommend avoiding buying sex toys on Amazon, I’m guilty of doing it myself.

²The Lovehoney Web site says it’s submersible while the instruction booklet says it’s only splashproof, so I asked Lovehoney for clarification. They reassured me that the information on their site is accurate.

³Three! Two are in the shaft – one near the base and one near the tip – and the third one is in the rabbit arm.

Pure Aluminium Medium Pink Vibrator.

Sex Toy Reviews for Experimental Fuckers #12

Pure Aluminium Medium Pink Vibrator

In my Icicles No. 14 review, I talked about glass as a safe, versatile, beautiful sex toy material. Pipedream‘s Pure Aluminium line offers metal vibrators in a variety of colors, sizes, and shapes. Pipedream kindly sent me their pink Pure Aluminium vibrator in the medium size in exchange for my honest review. Unfortunately, the first one I received didn’t work, but Sabrina sent me a replacement.

First, I want to talk about how the colors of these vibrators seem to determine their textures. Pure Aluminium vibrators are available in six colors: pink, blue, purple, black, silver, and gold. Regardless of size, the silver vibes in this line provide the least texture with their dead-straight bodies that have no curves, bulbs, ridges, or bumps. For a bit of texture that’s not overwhelming, the purple and gold vibrators take texture one step further. The purple vibes offer long, gradual curves, and the medium purple has a spherical bulb at the tip. The gold vibes have straight ridges around the shafts of their bodies and more pointed tips. For increased texture, choose a pink or black vibrator. The pink and black vibes have similar shapes, and both offer rounded ridges and bulbs of various sizes. For example, the small black has a larger bulb that makes it look much like a butt plug¹, and the medium pink – the vibrator I have – has a more realistic head. I would have a difficult time choosing between the pink and black vibrators because they’re so similar. I’d have to think hard about whether I’d prefer the larger ridges in the middle of the large black’s shaft or the fatter bulbs of the large pink. The blue vibrators provide the most texture by far. All three sizes have close, rounded ribs along the lengths of the vibrators’ bodies.

Similarly, the vibrators’ sizes determine their exact shapes. Basically, I can tell that there’s a relationship between the pink vibrator in all three sizes – small, medium, and large. They’re related and offer the same general textural features. The differences are in the lengths and girths of the bulbs as well as where they’re located along the vibrators’ shafts. Overall, Pipedream’s Pure Aluminium line offers a lot of variety when it comes to color, size, and texture.

People who are familiar with Pipedream’s packaging will recognize the Pure Aluminium medium pink vibrator as a Pipedream sex toy. As with Icicles No. 14, this toy arrives in a box with a magnetic flap on the front that has a satiny ribbon for a handle and opens to reveal the toy through a clear window. Thick foam – black instead of white – encases the toy and keeps it safe during transit. There are no models on the box, but the package shows pictures of the toy from various angles, which makes the packaging less discreet than it could be because it’s obvious what’s in the box. The sides of this box are metallic pink and match the vibrator inside.

WP_000855 WP_000850 WP_000846

I kept the box to store the toy between uses because it doesn’t come with a storage pouch. However, the Pure Aluminium medium pink vibrator doesn’t really need a storage pouch because the material doesn’t collect dust, lint, or other debris. It’s also strong and unlikely to break, even if I drop it.

Aluminium is the most abundant metal on Earth. It’s body safe because it’s nonporous and resistant to corrosion, which means that it’s easy to clean with a nonabrasive soap and water and won’t rust. It’s a low-density material, so this sex toy is lighter than a stainless steel toy but still has all of the benefits of metal as a sex toy material. For example, metal sex toys are excellent for temperature play because they get very cold and very hot and hold body temperature well. Aluminium is latex- and phthalate-free. Pure Aluminium vibrators are compatible with any type of lubricant, and a small amount of lube goes a long way because these toys are mirror smooth and don’t absorb lube.

The Pure Aluminium medium pink vibrator is very pretty indeed. I love the vibrant, metallic colors of the Pure Aluminium line. This vibe uses two AAA batteries².

WP_000843

It has three speeds and no patterns. There’s only one button, so it’s easy to use, but the only way to turn off the vibrator is by using the one button to cycle through the speeds.

WP_000845

The low and medium speed settings are on the rumblier side. The high setting feels buzzier than the other two but isn’t so buzzy that it makes my hand itch or numbs my fingers, even with my Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. The medium pink vibrator measures between 6-6.5″ in length and 4″ around at the widest part of the bulbs.

WP_000898 WP_000901

The large bulbs of the medium pink vibrator provide gentle texture. Because the bulbs are the same size (excluding the realistic head) and evenly spaced, this vibrator makes me think of anal beads³. I tend to enjoy constant vibration externally and patterns internally, so I use this vibrator externally more. My favorite way to use this vibrator is to hold it by the end with the button with the realistic head pointing toward my vaginal opening and slide the length of the vibe up and down between my labia and over my clitoris. With the vibration turned on, the bulges and dips of the shape sort of feel like a pattern. I love the wet sound that lube and air make in the specific friction of this vibrator’s shape. I’ve had some satisfying clitoral orgasms while using this vibrator. The vibration is pretty strong internally. The aluminium transfers vibration well. The only minor negative aspect of using the vibe internally is loss of texture sensation with stronger vibration. In other words, the texture becomes less noticeable as the vibration gets stronger. I remedied the loss of texture sensation by squeezing the vibrator while it was inside me. The medium speed setting is my favorite because it’s the stronger of the two rumblier speeds, and even the high speed setting is super quiet. I couldn’t hear the vibrator over the TV at normal volume. This vibrator is nearly silent. There’s a clear ring that makes it waterproof.

WP_000904 WP_000902

Soak it in a bowl of cool water (instead of putting it in the freezer) or warm water for temperature play. I recommend using the refrigerator instead of the freezer for safety reasons. Don’t insert a frozen sex toy. To warm Pure Aluminium vibrators, wrap the toy in a hot towel or just hold it for a few minutes. The metal is slippery when lubricated but not as slippery as glass, so the vibrator doesn’t become so slippery that it’s difficult to hold. I had Liquid Silk on the vibrator, my fingers, my vulva, and in my pubic hair and still didn’t lose my grip on the vibrator because there’s a ridge where the cap screws on. It’s also easy to clean using toy cleaner or a wet wipe or a 10% bleach solution. Because Pure Aluminium vibrators have motors, don’t put these toys in the dishwasher or boil them to clean them.

Overall, the medium vibrators from Pipedream‘s Pure Aluminium line are great metal sex toys for beginners. They have three speeds with two settings that are rumblier and one setting that’s buzzier, so someone who’s new to vibrators in general has the opportunity to feel the difference in one toy. They’re body safe and easy to clean because they’re waterproof. The Pure Aluminium line provides a range of texture options, so someone who has never explored texture has the opportunity to find out whether or not they like texture and how much. I’d love to try a purple, black, or gold Pure Aluminium vibrator because I like texture. The silver vibrators offer no texture at all while the texture of the blue vibrators is too intense for me. Plus, buying a toy from the Pure Aluminium line costs around $50 (or less), which I think is definitely reasonable for a vibrating metal sex toy that’s waterproof. (Hint: Buy from Bondara in the UK or PinkCherry or SheVibe in the U.S. instead of Amazon.)

WP_000838 WP_000837

Pros:

  • The Pure Aluminium line provides a range of colors, sizes, shapes, and textures that allow even beginners to choose a metal vibrator that’s right for them.
  • Aluminium is an abundant metal that’s perfect for making sex toys. Aluminium sex toys are body safe, nonporous, latex- and phthalate-free, and resistant to corrosion. Plus, aluminium is low-density, so aluminium toys are lighter than stainless steel toys.
  • Metal toys are great for temperature play.
  • This vibrator is compatible with any type of lubricant.
  • This vibrator has two rumblier vibration settings. The vibration is strong internally.
  • The medium pink vibrator has a realistic head.
  • The texture of the medium pink vibrator is noticeable and makes me think of anal beads but isn’t overwhelming.
  • It’s easy to use because there’s only one button.
  • Even on its high speed setting, this vibrator is nearly silent.
  • It’s easy to clean because it’s waterproof.

Cons:

  • Like Icicles toys, Pure Aluminium vibrators don’t come with storage pouches.
  • Medium Pure Aluminium vibes aren’t rechargeable and run on AAA batteries, but I’m glad they’re not watch batteries.
  • Clean Pure Aluminium vibrators using a nonabrasive soap.
  • Pure Aluminium vibrators offer no patterns.
  • The high speed setting is both the strongest and the buzziest.
  • I have to cycle through the speeds to turn off the vibrator.
  • Pure Aluminium vibrators aren’t safe for anal use.
  • Stronger vibration means loss of texture sensation internally.

Rating:  8.5/10

¹I would not recommend any of the Pure Aluminium vibrators for anal insertion. While a few have shapes that are similar to butt plugs, none of them have bases to prevent them from slipping all the way inside the body and getting lost.

²The small Pure Aluminium vibrators run on watch batteries, and the large Pure Aluminium vibrators run on AA batteries. I cannot recommend buying anything smaller than a medium Pure Aluminium vibrator.

³Again, do not use Pure Aluminium vibrators anally.

Glow-in-the-Dark Clone-A-Willy Vibrating Dildo Kit.

Glow-in-the-Dark Clone-A-Willy Vibrating Dildo Kit

This review contains affiliate links.

Empire Labs started out making products for medical and prosthetic use before Hollywood realized that they could make detailed, lifelike props and use the same process for creating special effects in horror movies. Empire Labs is the manufacturer of the Make Your Own Dildo kit, Clone-A-Pussy Labia Casting Kit, and Clone-A-Willy Kit. Mike at The Play Pages contacted me about writing a review, and I chose to review the Glow-in-the-Dark Clone-A-Willy Vibrating Dildo Kit. The Clone-A-Willy Kit is available in three realistic flesh tones as well as a small variety of additional and more novel colors like neon pink. Empire Labs even offers soap, candle, and edible chocolate versions of the Clone-A-Willy Kit. The Make Your Own Dildo kit makes a penis replica dildo with testicles while the Clone-A-Willy Kit makes a penis replica dildo without testicles. I’m reviewing the Clone-A-Willy Kit, so my dildo doesn’t have balls. I’m not sure I understand the goal of their Clone-A-Pussy Labia Casting Kit because it doesn’t make a sex toy. It’s not a stroker or masturbator; it’s just a cast of the external vulva. I’m not sure how one would masturbate with it. However, the Clone-A-Willy Kit makes either a vibrating or non-vibrating penis replica dildo.

The Play Pages is a Palm Island Inc. Web site. Palm Island Inc. sells sex toys and offers services like marketing assistance for people looking to create their own store site. They offer erotic audio recordings and plan to add adult web cam services. The Play Pages has more than 1,700 items and a rotating inventory, so it’s likely that new items will appear with each visit to their site. They provide free shipping with orders over $50 and discreet billing. Returning customers get 10% off with a valid e-mail address, and because The Play Pages is a reseller, their prices are comparable to PinkCherry’s. Follow The Play Pages on Twitter.

The Clone-A-Willy Kit packaging is a plastic tube, which later contains the mold. The packaging isn’t at all discreet if someone reads the large text that says, “CLONE-A-WILLY Kit.” There’s a cartoon couple on the package.

WP_000646

The Kit includes many – but not all – of the items necessary to make a penis replica vibrator. I found detailed instructions, molding powder, a jar of liquid skin, a jar of liquid rubber, a plastic vibrator, and glow powder in my Kit. The Kit should include a thermometer and a stir stick, but I didn’t receive those items. Honestly, I could have contacted Mike about the missing pieces of my Clone-A-Willy Kit, but I didn’t because it wasn’t a big deal to me. I have a thermometer I can use, and I just used a wooden spoon instead of the stir stick.

WP_000651 WP_000650

In addition to the Kit, I needed a Sharpie, a pair of scissors, duct tape, a large measuring cup, a large mixing bowl, a timer or a stopwatch, a small square of cardboard, water, and (obviously) my fiancé’s penis. Collect and set up the items ahead of time and be prepared because portions of this process are time-sensitive.

To make a replica vibrator from my fiancé’s penis, I asked him to measure the length of his erect penis against the tube and draw a line with the Sharpie on the tube where his penis ends. I cut the open end of the tube at the Sharpie line and put tape over the cut end of the tube to cover any sharp edges left by the scissors. I used whatever tape I could find, the instructions recommend duct tape because it’s thick. The tape I used didn’t protect my fiancé from getting poked by the cut end of the tube. My fiancé’s penis is straight, but the instructions explain how to rig the tube for a guy with a curved penis. I knew it was important for the next few steps to go well because this part of the process is time-sensitive. I had to get the water to the right temperature – 98 degrees.

WP_000735

Accuracy is important when it comes to the temperature of the water because it affects the timing of the next steps. I had two minutes to mix the water and molding powder together, pour the mixture into the tube, and get my fiancé’s penis in the tube before the mixture started to gel. I learned from reading a review written by Ali that stirring the mixture for about one minute and then getting my fiancé’s penis into the tube was probably the best course of action. I’d say that her review was the most helpful, and I benefited from the wisdom of her experience.

The instructions say that the molding powder (also called “sodium alginate impression material” in the instructions) is non-toxic, silica-free, hypoallergenic, and contains no harmful ingredients. The molding powder contains sodium alginate, tetrasodium pyrophosphate, cellulose, and calcium sulfate. Sodium alginate comes from brown seaweed and is an ingredient in flavorless gum and foods like yogurt and cheese. Tetrasodium pyrophosphate is about twice as toxic as table salt. It is found in health and beauty products like toothpaste and dental floss for tartar control as well as household detergents and even foods like marshmallows and pudding. Cellulose comes from plants, and calcium sulfate appears in nature as gypsum, which is the main ingredient in plaster of Paris. It’s also used in foods like tofu.

Communication between my fiancé and I was incredibly important when it came to the time-sensitive steps going well, and I would say that our communication was lacking when we attempted this project. I had wanted to try the Clone-A-Willy Kit since I received it back in February, so I had been bugging him for quite some time, and it ended up being put off more than once because he got sick, I got sick, and we don’t live alone, so we had to find a time when everyone else would be out of the house. Obviously, privacy is necessary to do this project. Honestly, when we finally decided to try it, I think neither of us was in the best mood. I felt annoyed because I had to keep nagging him about it, and he was probably irritated by my nagging¹. Anyway, it’s important to decide in advance where to do it. I needed warm water for the mixture, so I thought we’d do it in the bathroom because the floor also would be easy to clean if we spilled the mixture while putting his penis in the tube, but he seemed to think we were doing it upstairs in our bedroom, which is where the computer is, so he’d be able to watch some porn to get hard, but it’s carpeted. Another important factor to consider is how he will get and stay hard. My fiancé and I didn’t discuss this factor ahead of time, so I didn’t know whether he wanted to watch porn or have me assist him, and the situation ended up being a bit awkward. Figure out how he will get hard, how long that will take, and how he will stay hard for the next few minutes before mixing the molding powder and water. I thought he’d watch porn, but he didn’t seem comfortable doing it with me in the room, and I felt like I was waiting around for him to figure out what he was doing. Maybe bringing a laptop into the bathroom would have helped. We ended up in the bathroom with the water running while I took off my clothes, and he entered me from behind while I leaned over the sink and used the thermometer to get the water to 98 degrees. He tried thrusting a little to stay hard while I mixed the molding powder and water, and I used a stopwatch app on my cell phone to keep track of the two minutes. As I said, it was awkward, and there was a lot going on. He ended up pulling out of me in a hurry before the mixture was ready because he thought he was going to cum. I think pulling out interrupted his orgasm because he said that some cum leaked out, but it didn’t seem to me like he had experienced a full release. He wasn’t has hard as he could have been by the time we inserted his penis into the tube, so our mold wasn’t fantastic. I’m not the one who was trying to stay hard against the clock, but I can imagine that the timing likely caused him some performance anxiety as well. None of these things were the fault of the Kit, so in fairness, I stress again that clear communication is paramount to successfully executing the instructions. I also was way too worried about the difficulty of the time-sensitive steps. It wasn’t difficult at all to mix the molding powder and water and get his penis into the tube within two minutes.

I recommend doing this project in either the bathroom or the kitchen because it’s somewhat messy. The mixture is likely to run out of the tube as he inserts his penis. It dripped down my fiancé’s balls as well as getting all over his hands and mine. Put down some newspaper or a garbage bag on the floor to make cleaning up easier. Honestly, once the mixture gels and he pulls out of the tube, the material isn’t difficult to clean up. What was left in the bowl dried and flaked right off, and I washed the bowl in the dishwasher.

WP_000739 WP_000740 WP_000743 WP_000742

The material on my fiancé’s skin turned into a flexible putty and came off pretty easily, and he cleaned himself with a wet wipe or wash cloth, but I’d recommend that he shave or at least trim his pubic hair short so that the material doesn’t get stuck in his hair. Rubbing in some petroleum jelly or lube is another option if he doesn’t want to shave or trim his hair. Another avoidable issue we experienced was how uncomfortable the cut end of the tube felt against his skin. I should have used duct tape, but he also had literally just shaved beforehand, and when I pulled the tube off his penis, I saw red dots of blood around the top of the mold, so he might want to prepare a day or two in advance when it comes to shaving or trimming his hair so that he doesn’t have such sensitive skin when doing the project.

Once the mixture gelled, he pulled out of the tube, leaving the mold inside it. After we made the mold, it had to sit for two to four hours before I could use the liquid skin and liquid rubber to make the replica. I checked the mold and poured out the water that had collected at the bottom. Then, I mixed the liquid skin, liquid rubber, and glow powder together and poured the mixture into the mold. The instructions say to make this mixture in a disposable container. I cut slits in the cardboard square and slid the vibrator through until only the cap was still sticking out and lowered the vibrator into the mixture with the cardboard resting on top of the tube. The tube needs to sit this way for 24 hours. After a full 24 hours, remove the replica from the mold. Our replica ended up having air bubbles in it, which likely happened because there was too much water in the mold, so I’ll let the mold dry for a longer period of time when I try this project again.

DSC05154

I also pushed the vibrator too far into the tube. Not only does the tip stick out of the head of our replica, but also the cardboard stuck to the mixture, and I can’t get it off.

DSC05139 DSC05160 DSC05159

The other materials also contain no harmful ingredients. The liquid rubber (also called “silicone rubber base” in the instructions) and the liquid skin (also called “silicone rubber catalyst” and “platinum cure” in the instructions) both contain polydimethylsiloxane, which is a type of silicone oil that is clear, inert, non-toxic, and non-flammable. It is found in shampoo and food as well as used in Rain-X for its water-repelling properties. It is present in over-the-counter drugs and treats head lice. The glow powder (also called “phosphorescent pigment” in the instructions) contains copper-doped zinc sulfide, which is a common and widely used pigment. The vibrator is hard plastic and powered by one AA battery, which is not included in the Clone-A-Willy Kit.

DSC05147

I have issues with this vibrator. It has only one speed, so it’s weak, and the vibrations are buzzy and concentrated at the tip. Once inside the replica, the vibrations are obviously even weaker because they now have to travel through the material. To turn the vibrator off, I have to completely remove the battery, which means unscrewing and replacing the cap several times during one use of the toy. I hope the cap doesn’t break from excessive use. However, I have to say that the battery doesn’t fall out when the cap is off. Use a different, more powerful vibrator to upgrade the Clone-A-Willy Kit. Just be sure that it’s made of hard plastic to transfer the vibrations best. This toy isn’t waterproof because there is no ring to make a seal with the vibrator’s cap. However, non-vibrating replicas are waterproof.

DSC05151

While I’m not going to post a photo of my fiancé’s penis, I can say that our dildo is relatively accurate. The head is the right shape with a pronounced ridge, and the texture is right. I can see the wrinkle lines on the head clearly.

DSC05141

The shaft even has some slightly raised veins for texture, and the underside of the shaft is almost perfect except for the part where his head was against the side of the tube. As I said, he also wasn’t as hard as he could have been, and that’s certainly partially my fault. Our dildo even ended up having a base, so I can use it anally, and it’s pretty glowy. I actually didn’t want the glow-in-the-dark Kit in the beginning, but The Play Pages didn’t have the Clone-A-Willy Kit that I wanted in stock, so this one was my second choice. I think we would have had more fun making a vibrating replica of my fiancé’s penis if a few things had been different. I plan to give the Clone-A-Willy Kit another shot, and we know now that we need to communicate better. I’ll tell him to shave or trim his pubic hair a day or two before we attempt this project again, and we’ll discuss how he’ll get and stay hard and where we’ll do it. Maybe I’ll buy a good cock ring before we try again. Now that we know what to expect, I hope our replica turns out better next time. Again, the fault isn’t necessarily with the Kit, and I’m sure we can do better. Our dildo isn’t terrible, but he could have been harder, and I need to make sure the vibrator stays inside the dildo. I honestly don’t need the toy to vibrate, so I’ll probably make a non-vibrating replica next time.

DSC05136 DSC05137 DSC05135 DSC05138

Pros:

  • The materials that aren’t easy to find around the house are in the Kit.
  • The instructions are clear and easy to follow.
  • The Clone-A-Willy Kit makes an accurate replica.
  • A doctor designed the Clone-A-Willy Kit.
  • Empire Labs offers a variety of items like the Clone-A-Willy Kit and several different Clone-A-Willy Kits that make replicas from novel materials.
  • The process is pretty simple, and the materials are phthalate- and latex-free. The “finished dildo is made from a proprietary skin-like substance that is not latex or silicone, but a completely safe, [nonporous] rubber material that is…being used throughout Hollywood to create incredibly lifelike masks,” according to this product description.
  • Both water- and silicone-based lubricants are compatible with this toy. I’ve used Uberlube, which is silicone-based, without having any issues.
  • Rub in some petroleum jelly or lube if he doesn’t want to shave or trim his pubic hair.
  • This toy is easily cleaned with soap and water, and non-vibrating replicas are waterproof.
  • This project won’t break the bank. SheVibe sells the Glow-in-the-Dark Clone-A-Willy Vibrating Dildo Kit for under $40. Plus, refill packages of the materials are available if the replica doesn’t turn out as expected.
  • The Clone-A-Willy Kit is perfect for couples in long-distance relationships.

Cons:

  • My Kit was missing the thermometer and the stir stick.
  • The tips are really more like instructions, and I’d treat them that way so that the replica ends up being as accurate as possible.
  • Clear communication is paramount for successful completion of this project.
  • Be prepared with all of the necessary materials before beginning this project. I can see how the time-sensitive steps might cause performance anxiety, especially if there’s a scramble for an item that was forgotten.
  • This project is a bit messy. It’s a good idea to do this project in the bathroom or the kitchen or somewhere else that isn’t carpeted.
  • This project is best tackled by a couple. Trying to get through the process alone definitely would be more difficult.
  • This toy isn’t waterproof because of the vibrator and requires careful cleaning.
  • The vibrator has only one speed. The vibrations are weak, buzzy, and concentrated in the tip. To turn the vibrator off, remove the battery.

Rating:  7.5²/10

¹If he would do what I ask the first time I ask him to do it, then I wouldn’t have to nag him for weeks.

²After agonizing over rating this toy, I consulted my fiancé, and we agreed that this rating is appropriate because the Kit is well designed. Everything that either is vital to doing the project or might be difficult to find around the house is in the Kit. Because the tube that contains the Kit is the tube for making the mold and the product label has the instructions on the back, there are no wasted materials. It’s a solid toy, and the reasons why our replica may not have turned out exactly as we had hoped have nothing to do with the Kit and everything to do with user error.

Little Cocky.

Sex Toy Reviews for Experimental Fuckers #7

Little Cocky

This review contains affiliate links.

The Little Cocky is my first Rocks-Off toy. This review is my first vibrator review because the Sqweel isn’t really a vibrator. While I wanted to try a toy from a company that’s new to me, I didn’t have the highest expectations because I’ve never been a huge bullet vibrator fan. I’m sure that’s probably a sin in some sex toy reviewers’ eyes because a bullet vibe is one of the most basic sex toys. Bullet vibes have a lot of great features. They’re typically small, which makes most of them discreet and/or easily disguised as other objects, such as lipstick, a loofah, or even a rubber duckie. They’re versatile for solo use or for use during sex with a partner. Anyone of any gender or body type can use a bullet vibrator. They’re typically very easy to use and often have only one button.

DSC05107

Bullets aren’t intimidating, which is why I recommend them for people who don’t have much or any experience with sex toys.

The longer I review sex toys, the less interested in bullet vibrators I become. They’re underrated and even overlooked, and I admit that I don’t think especially highly of bullet vibrators in general. I need direct, moderate to strong clitoral stimulation with just the right amount of friction in order to achieve orgasm and haven’t really found a bullet that impresses me. It seems to me that bullet vibes often play a supporting role in people’s sex lives in a way that enhances partner sex. Many women who squirt say that they use a bullet vibrator in tandem with another – usually bigger or stronger – internal toy during masturbation sessions leading to female ejaculation. The bullet vibe is a sidekick that gives cock rings additional appeal. Bullets have taken a backseat in my sex life, but the Little Cocky is changing my mind. There might be more to bullet vibrators than I’ve come to expect. The Little Cocky has a lot to prove, but it also has a lot of potential. It’s a rising star in my sex toy collection.

The Rocks-Off Little Cocky arrives in a relatively inconspicuous box that has no models on it. It’s not neon and doesn’t have the word “vibrator” plastered across its front, but the name of the toy is prominent. The package would be more discreet if not for the window through which the toy shows. The Little Cocky consists of their RO-80mm Bullet Vibrator, which is non-recycled ABS plastic, inside a platinum-cured silicone sleeve. Sanitize only the sleeve on the top rack of the dishwasher without detergent (if the dishwasher offers that option) or by boiling it. Even though both the sleeve and bullet are nonporous, the vibrator cannot be cleaned using these methods because it has a motor. However, it’s waterproof. Use soap and water, toy cleaner or a wet wipe, or a 10% bleach solution for a worry-free clean when it comes to the bullet.

DSC05094 DSC05097 DSC05093

The entire toy is body safe. This silicone is powder soft, and I think it’s absolutely sexy to touch. I don’t think I had ever felt silicone this soft before I received this toy. Even better is the fact that this toy isn’t a lint magnet. It did pick up cat hair when I laid it down on the bed to take pictures. However, I simply blew on the toy, and the hair came right off. The sleeve has a phallic shape with a slender tip, defined ridge about a third of the way down the toy’s length, an untextured shaft, and testicles. There’s a raised Rocks-Off heart logo on the right testicle, which is the perfect place for it because it’s not on the insertable part of the toy, so it isn’t noticeable during use.

DSC05095 DSC05098

The silicone is quite firm at both ends of the sleeve. The balls provide a place to hold the toy, and the rounded head makes vaginal or anal penetration easy. The silicone in the shaft of the sleeve is thinner and very flexible, but it takes some effort to insert and remove the bullet.

DSC05102 DSC05103

The Little Cocky is waterproof. A matching pink ring makes a seal when the bullet vibrator’s cap is on.

DSC05111

This toy comes with a nice drawstring storage pouch to keep it clean between uses (read: low-maintenance). It even comes with a registration number.

DSC05105 DSC05106

It’s not difficult to see why Rocks-Off has won so many awards. I received this vibrator as a prize in a goodie bag from a Vibrator Kingdom giveaway, and they sent me the pink Little Cocky, which has a pink RO-80mm bullet. The Little Cocky also comes in black.

I think this toy’s shape is fantastic. I love the rounded head, and the ridge provides a lot of sensation and feels great popping in and out of my vagina. The balls create a large enough base that this small vibrator is safe to use as an anal plug¹. The bullet’s single button is easy to reach to cycle through the toy’s settings. I like its size. At first, I thought it was small. However, the shape is comfortable to hold, which makes the toy easy to control, so its size really doesn’t matter. Unlike the Silicone Handmaiden G-Spot Seeker, this toy is very ergonomic. Rocks-Off says, “It’s not the size, it’s how you use it!” Well, they’re right. I know there are size queens who would disagree with Rocks-Off and me, and the Little Cocky isn’t big enough for everyone, but I found it surprisingly powerful with a satisfying variety of patterns. This RO-80mm bullet isn’t the single speed version. This one has seven settings – advertised as seven speeds, which isn’t exactly accurate. The only pattern with more than one speed option is the constant vibration pattern. Of this toy’s seven settings, the first three provide constant vibration at low, medium, and high speeds. The fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh settings provide four additional patterns of vibration. For me, the constant vibration settings are perfect for clitoral stimulation while the pulsating patterns feel best internally. My favorite setting is the sixth one, which vibrates in a teasingly repeating wavelike pattern that increases in strength over the course of about a second and a half. My only criticism of the Little Cocky is that its vibrations are more buzzy than rumbly, even though this toy is relatively powerful compared with other bullet vibrators I’ve used. I have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, and the Little Cocky’s vibrations sometimes numb my hand during masturbation. One of the best things about the Little Cocky is how quiet it is. I’ve even used it to masturbate while I was laying in bed next to my sleeping fiancé², and it didn’t disturb his slumber.

For a good toy, I don’t mind buying batteries (except watch batteries). This toy might become my go-to bullet vibrator, so its battery life mustn’t disappoint me. The Little Cocky’s battery life is definitely reasonable. I’d say that I used it probably six or eight times before the N (LR1) DC 1.5v battery started to die and I noticed decreased power. The Little Cocky’s battery looks a little like a AAA battery, but it’s shorter.

DSC05108 DSC05109 DSC05110

On the back of the box next to the bar code, there’s a battery expiration date.

WP_000586

Rocks-Off assures that their customers get the best possible experience, and this date allows retailers to remove products with old batteries from the shelf before they’re sold. I would hate to receive a toy with batteries included and find out that it’s dead on arrival. I would love to get the RO-80mm Rechargeable Bullet Vibrator, and I think buying a USB rechargeable version of this bullet that comes in a discreet beauty compact would be a good investment. I would even go so far as to suggest selling the Little Cocky with the rechargeable bullet vibe for 40-50 GBP ($65-85). In that price range, its competitors would include the LELO MIA 2 and the We-Vibe Tango.

I admit that I have a pretty big crush on the Little Cocky. I love its phallic shape and the variety of patterns it offers. I’m looking forward to upgrading it with a rechargeable version of the RO-80mm bullet. From the quality of the materials to the low-maintenance waterproof design to the customer care behind Rocks-Off’s products, the Little Cocky is such a solid toy. It’s strong enough to get me off when I’m too lazy to plug in my (Hitachi) Magic Wand, and I kept it tucked inside my pillowcase while I was reviewing it.

Pros:

  • The Little Cocky is 100% body safe.
  • I can sanitize the silicone sleeve.
  • This silicone is wonderfully powder soft.
  • This toy has a phallic shape that’s also ergonomic.
  • It’s waterproof.
  • Anyone can use a bullet vibrator, so it’s a great toy for people who don’t have much or any experience with sex toys because it’s low-maintenance and easy to use.
  • The Little Cocky has seven settings that include constant vibration at low, medium, and high speeds and four additional patterns of vibration.
  • This toy is incredibly quiet.
  • The toy arrives with a battery, so it’s immediately functional.
  • The Little Cocky’s battery life is reasonable, and the battery expiration date ensures the best possible experience.
  • Buy the RO-80mm Rechargeable Bullet Vibrator to upgrade the Little Cocky.
  • This toy comes with a registration number, and Rocks-Off’s customer care is excellent.

Cons:

  • I’d like additional color options.
  • I recommend using only water-based lubricants with this toy.
  • The Little Cocky’s vibrations are on the buzzy side and sometimes numb my hand.
  • I’d love to see Rocks-Off sell this toy with the RO-80mm Rechargeable Bullet Vibrator in the first place, which I believe could be done within a reasonable price range that allows the Little Cocky to compete with the LELO MIA 2 and the We-Vibe Tango.

Rating:  8.5/10

¹After using this toy anally, I did notice that the silicone sleeve retained a smell. However, I boiled the sleeve, and the smell disappeared.

²Yes, for the purpose of writing this review. Don’t judge me!
